ShiBaShi, also known as Taiji-Qigong is a beautiful flowing Qigong routine with 18 movements. Unlike the Health Qigong series promoted by the Qigong Health Association of China, ShiBaShi is a non-standardized form. You will see as many variations as practitioners. The version presented here has been modified to be safe for young and old, preserving knees and backs.

Lin Housheng originated the ShiBaShi combing movements from Tai Chi and Qigong to produce set 1 around 1979. It has become enormously popular worldwide as an easy-to-learn, enjoyable form to practice with great health benefits.

In this video version, I have slowed the movements down to make it a ‘flowing meditation’ of sorts, calming the nervous system and promoting health and well-being.
